In Asia, with the exception of Japan in the amateur field, most Championships and other competitions both Amateur and Professional are now organized under the flag of the WDC and the WDC-AsianAL.
Especially in South East Asia 80% of the competitions are organized by the WDC Asian Amateur League and support is growing with record numbers competing.
Very recently in Singapore over 300 couples from 20 countries competed in the last competition of the WDC Asian Amateur Open Championships Series 2010.
This time the National Amateur IDSF Champions from the Philippines joined in and were immediately banned by the IDSF. The couples response to this? "We like to dance in international competitions and the IDSF only organize a few comps for us. So if they ban us we are ready and prepared. They can now invite the second couple, we don't care!"
Let us hope IDSF continue with their banning policy and recruiting new members for the WDC Amateur League.
Soon they can report to the IOC why their numbers decrease.

Moshe would like to say: THANK YOU IDSF - the more couples you send over - the greater the gold medal is we will hand over to you
We should maybe implement an award? Best dance couples supplier of the year 2010
To recruite with excellence is an international dance couples sales and management institution that coaches and consults for the WDC_AL and individuals to recruit its unique trademarked dance, sales and management techniques. The technique exists of banning couples to give them the option to join the WDC_AL.
These techniques have been designed and proven to meet clients’ primary objectives of improving efficiency, to create positive and quantifiable impacts on their productivity and subsequent profitability. The evidence has shown that productivity increases dramatically when an IDSF couple is banned by the IDSF; the couple is than introduced to the WDC_AL. There is a simple common language and process to use. “Ban and switch”. Be awarded.
To stay ahead of your competitors and with the ever increasing luxury of choice for dancers to dance either for the IDSF or WDC_AL (associated complex sales cycles), the differentiation of the IDSF’s sales methods and processes is as vital as its specific product and service offering. The WDC is ever so grateful for the full steam support.
Through its consultancy and advisory services of the IDSF, training inductions, bespoke in-house coaching programmes, live (and lively!) training events, recruiting excellence of the IDSF delivers it’s dance, sales and management techniques, processes and philosophies to a global audience from Europe to Russia, Asia Pacific, Australia, Japan, South Africa, UK and Ireland.
Thank you IDSF for being in the spearhead of the further development of the WDC Freedom to Dance world.
