Freedom to dance by Anthony Hurley The First Singapore Championships

I am delighted to report that the Freedom to dance event coupled with The First Singapore Championships was a resounding success. A stunning venue, a sellout of dining and non dining tickets, plus 200 competitors from 23 countries, fantastic considering the WDSF put out their usual banning. The support from the public, competitors and sponsors made this day a triumph for Freedom to Dance.
John & Josephine Tan must be congratulated on promoting the event during these trying and uncertain times. Congratulations must also go out to the competitors who in most cases defied their WDSF national bodies to travel and dance, knowing in some cases they would be banned.Their participation will be recorded as will many others throughout the world stating that competitors only want to dance wherever and whenever they like and in any organisation of their choice.
