Threats, threats, more threats now it is Bulgaria.

If ever limbo dancing is a medal sport there is no doubt that IDSF and some of the national members would win the gold. No one else can go as low as they do. There is now such ample evidence that they care more about their power than dancesport and what is best for the sport. They will stop at nothing to do harm to dance competitions, dancers and professionals.
Now it is the turn of Bulgaria. The Bulgaria Professional Dance Association will present for the WDC the European Professional Ballroom Championship.
So lets look what happens.
First comes this announcement::
“In accordance with the policy and recommendations of IDSF, Bulgarian Dance Sport Federation (BDSF) strictly prohibits all its members, registered couples, adjudicators and all individuals associated with BDSF to take part in events and competitions under the banner of WDC and IDU in any form.”
For the first time to my knowledge they definitely name the WDC and make it clear this is the body they are attacking. Is it IDSF policy and recommendation to directly attack WDC events rather than unregistered independent events? Somewhat different policy than presented by Mr Freitag in his now disingenuous letter
Does it stop with that announcement? Oh No.
The lady who should supply the skating system software is threatened she will never work again in Bulgaria if she provides this service for the WDC European Championships. She is so afraid for her future she informs the organisers that she cannot carry out her duties.
Then it goes on to other suppliers - such as the company who would provide the dance floor. They will suffer they are told.
Every dancer and professional is threatened with consequences if they even attend the event!!
It is shameful to dance that people who are desperate for their power can stoop so low. Bulgaria however suffered for years under dictatorship and once they gained their freedom there are many who will fight for independence, freedom and honour.
The Bulgaria Professional Dance Association are well prepared and have many "fall back" options and have issued a short simple statement
If there is no way, we shall make one!!!
So, whatever they do, we shall manage!!!
Every person who believes in Freedom, every person who wants the best for dancesport, to see it grow and develop will totally condemn this ugly despotic attempt by an IDSF member to damage dancesport.
Let us wish the Bulgarian Professional Dance Association the very greatest success and thank them for their efforts to develop dancesport and see it grow throughout the world. They are a credit to dancesport.
Threats, threats, more threats now it is Bulgaria.
