Verheerende Folgen einer völlig verfehlten STSV Politik

Nun ist es soweit, die WDC-Amateur League hat sich in der Schweiz etabliert! Donnie Burns, Präsident des Professional World Dance Council (WDC) verkündete am 17. Oktober in Regensdorf persönlich die Vergabe der WDC-Amateur League Europa-Meisterschaft Standard und Latein am 6. November 2010, an den Swiss Professional Dance Sport Council (SPDSC). Ein im Jahre 2007 offiziell gegründeter Schweizer Profi Tanzsport Verband. Diese Meisterschaft wird in Kooperation mit der SIGOR Management GmbH von Peter Siegrist organisiert.

Ziel und Zweck dieses Verbandes war einerseits die Förderung des Profi-Tanzsportes in der Schweiz und anderseits die Organisation von Hobby Teammatches (Supaleague Turniere) etc. Seit zwei Jahren versuchte die SPDSC vergeblich, Vollmitglied des International Professional DanceSport Councils (IPDSC) zu werden, um damit unter die Schirmherrschaft der IDSF zu kommen.

Die IPDSC wurde ursprünglich durch einige Internationale, prominente Tanzprofis ins Leben gerufen, mit dem Ziel sich mit der IDSF zu verbinden, um damit auch unter „IOC Flagge“ zu segeln. Im Jahre 2007 wurde die IPDSC offiziell von der IDSF anerkannt und als Mitglied aufgenommen.

Der in der Schweiz gegründete Swiss Professional DanceSport Council (SPDSC) ersuchte sofort um Mitgliedschaft in der IPDSC, dem Internationalen Verband. Dass dem SPDSC -nach langem Hickhack mit dem STSV- die Vollmitgliedschaft schliesslich verweigert wurde, ist das „Verdienst“ der Herren Varisco und Waller, denn diese beiden verweigerten die dazu benötigte Zustimmung des STSV.
Seit 2007 tat die STSV Führung alles in ihrer Macht stehende, um den SPDSC zu schädigen. So wurde auch versucht, SPDSC Leute mit IDSF Wertungsrichter-Lizenz sperren zu lassen usw. Eine Parallele zum Fall Siegrist................
Ein pikantes Detail:
An der IPDSC Delegiertenversammlung 2008 in Italien, wurden die Schweizer Tanzsport Proffessionals durch Walter und Susanne Varisco vertreten.......

Nun die Konsequenzen dieser jahrelangen Attacken gegen den SPDSC durch die Herren Varisco und Waller sind in der Tat verheerend.
Die Schweiz hat nun einen offiziellen Profi-Tanzsport Verband, der sich der WDC-Amateur League angeschlossen hat und auf Anhieb die Organisation der WDC-Amateur League Europameisterschaft vom 6. November 2010 zugesprochen erhielt!

Als Honorary Life President der IDSF hat mich dieser “Schwenker” zum WDC hin sehr verärgert. Ich versuchte einiges, dies abzuwenden, aber umsonst.

Ehrlicherweise muss ich allerdings gestehen, dass die SPDSC durch die erlittenen Verunglimpfungen seitens der STSV Führung, keine andere Wahl hatte. Irgendwann läuft das Fass über!

Ich bin sicher, dass das Präsidium der IDSF an dieser Entwicklung in der Schweiz keine Freude hat.

.....das ist ein klares Statement, daß auch sehr viel Leid aber auch Leidenschaft zum Ausdruck bringt.
Dass Du als Honorary Life President der IDSF Dein Lebenswerk kaputt gehen siehst, bereits Schmerzen. Du sagst: Ich versuchte einiges, dies abzuwenden, aber umsonst.

Denn auch DU wurdest verunglimpft. Als ob alle Verdienste, die Du in Deiner Tanzkarriere erlangt hast, nichts mehr Wert wären.

Du verstehst aberr auch, der SPDSC k o n n t e gar nicht mehr anders.
Es sind ja auch keine Schulbuben die sich dort für den SCHWEIZER TANZSPORT engagieren, nebst dem, retten Sie nach außen auch noch das Image der Schweiz auf dem internationalen Tanz-Sport-Parkett.

Du wirfst aber doch die berechtigte Frage auf (und das schon mehrmals, auch in Deinen Gesprächen mit Herrn Carlos Freitag: wo bleibt denn nun dieser IDSF??Bis heute keine erkennbare Reaktionen. Entweder ist Carlos Freitag Esq.
1. am Schreibtisch eingeschlafen,
2. die rufschädigende Aktivitäten seitens des STSV interessieren ihn nicht,
3. er kann kein Deutsch lesen (?) und kann somit nicht lesen was in vielen Protokollen, Briefe und Emails geschrieben steht, oder:
4. es interessiert ihn überhaupt nicht.

Denn: wir in der Schweizer Amateur-Tanzsport-Szene (Welt) sind international doch eigentlich in die absolute Bedeutungslosigkeit versunken. Also: lieber totschweigen, warten bis das ‚Management’ des STSV sich „selber erledigt hat“ oder es anderweitige Lösungen gibt. Wie Dr. Helmut Kohl in Deutschland: man sitzt die Probleme aus und wartet auf besseres Wetter.

In der Zwischenzeit geht unsere Schweizer Amateur-Tanz-Szene „vor die Hunde“.
STSV sei Dank.

Und dabei könnte es mit all dem Know How der Professionals in der Schweiz, mit dem Energielevel in der Schweiz eine ganz andere Welt sein.

Aber eben. Die Geister die gerufen wurden wird man (offenbar) nicht mehr los.

Wie schreibt doch der Dr. W. von Goethe im Zauberlehrling:

Anfänglich ist er stolz auf sein Können, doch bald merkt er, wie er der Situation nicht mehr gewachsen ist, und er sagt die geflügelten Worte: „Die ich rief, die Geister, / Werd’ ich nun nicht los.“ Da kommt im letzten Augenblick der Meister zurück und bereinigt die Situation mit einem knappen Befehl:

Ich begreife Dich das Du enttäuscht bist vom Verhalten des STSV sowie des IDSF.
Das man so mit Dir umgeht ist schlicht weg eine Katastrophe.

Sei einfach Stolz was Ihr die Familie Baumann und Banyer alles für den Tanzsport geleistet habt und auch in Zukunft noch leisten werdet.
Keine Familie in der ganzen Schweiz hat jemals in der Geschichte des Tanzsport's soviel für den Tanzsport getan als Ihr alle zusammen.

Sicher sind manchmal neue Wege ungewohnt aber wer nichts wagt nichts gewinnt.

Auf jeden Fall wünsche ich Euch allen das alles was Ihr anpackt mit Erfolg gekrönt wird.

FULL AND OPEN COMPETIONS

Here some definitions where our friends in the IDSF world have no understanding for, since it is contrary to their very small world (the world is not flat anymore ) Breaking through to the other side .

- With respect to a contract action, "full and open" competition means that all responsible sources are permitted to compete.

Standard form of competition where all qualified or responsible parties are eligible to compete.

Standard: Concept, norm, or principle established by agreement, authority, or custom, and used generally as an example or model to compare or measure the quality or performance of a practice or procedure.

Or a written definition, limit, or rule approved and monitored for compliance by an authoritative agency (or professional or recognized body) as a minimum acceptable benchmark.

Competition: means an open market rivalry in which every seller tries to get what other sellers are seeking at the same time-sales, profit, and market share by offering the best practicable combination of price, quality, and service. Where the market information flows freely, competition plays a regulatory function in balancing demand and supply. This is what the WDC and WDC-AL is executing.

Qualified means an entity that has acquired a recognized certificate, degree, or professional standing and/or has demonstrated the ability to handle and successfully completes qualifying tasks.

Does this help to define the differences between the opus operandi of IDSF vs. WDC competitions?

It is the definition of a free dancer’s world vs. dictatorship in dancing. It is that simple.

I believe that the freedom to dance, judge, organise or teach cannot be granted by only one earthly power. Freedom to dance is based on fairness, integrity and human principle. When force is needed to prevent people from dancing, judging, organising or teaching, then human rights are being violated. We cannot compromise the principle of human rights. So Dancers do not be afraid! You have the freedom and right to dance. You have the power! Together we can change it!

Article 27 of THE UNIVERSAL DECLARATION OF HUMAN RIGHTS states:
“Everyone has the right freely to participate in the cultural life of the community, to enjoy the arts, and share in scientific advancement and benefits.”

FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES OF THE OLYMPIC CHARTER Article 5 states:
“Any form of discrimination with regard to a country or a person on grounds of race, religion, politics, gender or otherwise is incompatible with belonging to the Olympic movement”.

Great leaders inspire us to have faith and confidence because of the power of their absolute integrity and belief in unshakeable principles. You cannot compromise the principles laid down by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948, and the Olympic Charter of 2007, and still retain power and respect.

Therefore, if all of the concerned organisations in our dance world understand and abide by, fully, the meaning of Article 27 and Article 5 of the Olympic Charter, it should not be possible to discriminate against any competitive dancer, teacher, judge or organiser, anywhere in the World.

If the goals of dance organisations were to support the fulfillment of their dancers, teachers or judges rather than mounting campaigns to prevent the dancer from participating, then these organisations could become powerful forces for the betterment of dancing as a whole.

Make haste for change!

Both on the website of IDSF as well on You-tube you can find a video by Sportaccord.
Carlos Freitag is interviewed and explains the danceworld!
It is not an interview really with critical questions. It is more like "the world according to...".
Starting off with explaining we are talking about being responsible for 10 dances, 5 standard and 5 latin; it is interesting to see how deep he had to think to mention 8 out of the 10!
For me it was just another example (but a very good one) of a person with a limited view on the whole of the danceworld. To be followed by more of the same examples of limited views.
And if that is not the case, then it is even worse: willingly painting a wrong picture.
He starts of with telling us that IDSF is organising world championships and Grand Slams and explains that world championships are nice, but the very best are the grand slams:
Because there you can really see the best dancers in the world and everybody can participate.
Forget about Blackpool, the UK, the International and some other comps, the grand slams are the real thing where everybody can dance and the best are doing so!
Forget about all the professionals, the best dancers are in the grand slams!
Two lies in one statement. Very good for starters.

IDSF suddenly has her own trainers. They are send out to Asia, South America and Africa to develop dancing. And they are incredibly successful!
Since when does this superior, athlete-governed, athlete-orientated body have their own trainers?
And have you read of the incredible success of South-Americans and Africans?
You could say that this statement is some sort of "wishful thinking".

Carlos is now really getting the hang of it, when he starts about TV-programs.
Not mentioning the fact that the Eurovision Dance Festival is no longer there and that "Dancing with the Stars" is mainly using professionals that are part of some other organisation, he now claims that this is all IDSF and that they have danceschools as well!
It is a known fact that danceschools and social dancing are the undisputed domain of the World Dance Council (as well as the participating professionals in DWTS).
He simply ignores those facts. How convenient!

According to Carlos all the best athletes, having done their thing in the IDSF on world championships and in grand slams, go on competing as professionals.
So first of all he now contradicts himself by saying that there are better dancers than he mentioned before, but more importantly, he forgets conveniently they prefer to join the ranks of the professionals in the World Dance Council. That is, if they are any good.
For Carlos, they do no longer exist!

About the WDSF in the making: every organisation that has world championships should be part of this: WRRF, IDO, Wheelchairdancing, Country and Line dancing; they must have a place.
What about the World Dance Council, with the best of the best couples??
Of course no mentioning of that.
In the mind of Carlos Freitag the World Dance Council and her top of the bill professionals are non-existing, like the foxtrot and the jive. He can't remember them!
He can't recognise the facts as they are and prefers to live in his own bulb. (Yes, the world according to C.F.) or: “The World according to Garp” by John Irving.)
For a world-leader there is no excuse to do so. For a world-organisation it is shameful to proclaim this on video. You cannot even call this propaganda.
But actually we should be very thankful to Mr. C. Freitag that finally he opens the Pandora’s Box (In Greek mythology, Pandora's box is the large jar carried by Pandora that, when opened by her, unleashed many terrible things on mankind – ills, toils and sickness – and hope. Contrary to popular belief, in the original story, Pandora's "box" was not actually a box at all, but rather a jar. Hence, the historically correct term would be "Pandora's jar".

Thank you Mr. Carlos Freitag for letting us know exactly where you stand. Please give more interviews on YouTube. You absolutely deliver the best arguments why no dancer can support the IDSF. You said it all.

We also should note that the present IDSF ist N O T the IDSF of Ruedi Baumann anymore. There was a shift in paradigm.
The term paradigm shift, as a change in a fundamental model of events. (Paradigmawechsel).
The tide has changed. Freedom to Dance is the big letter head we go for today. There is a name for it: WDC-AL and WDC.

This change has also occured in Switzerland.
All dancers in Switzerland should take this is consideration - who does not want to be free?

Does the IDSF want WAR BY ALL MEANS? Hochmut kommt vor dem Fall. Das war schon immer so.
Nur weiter so. Dies ist die beste Unterstützung für Freedom to Dance und deshalb für WDC and WDC-AL.
