Canada is supposed to be a progressive Free country and yet it operates an out of date system in Dancesport. What a blow to the reputation of the country

Dear

We refer to the CADA Rule Book and in particular Rule 8.08 which states that No amateur may
participate in any unsanctioned or unregistered competitions and tournaments within or outside
Canada. Unsanctioned or unregistered shall mean those competitions and tournaments which
are not sanctioned or recognized by WDSF, WDSF member and affiliate federations, CADA or
CADA regional member associations.

It has come to the attention of the CADA Board that you participated in the following event without
permission of your Regional Association or the CADA Board:

UK Open 2012, Bournemouth England, January 17 , 2012

Your participation in the above mentioned competition without consent appears to be a clear
violation of the CADA Rules. Violations of Rule 8.08 may be sanctioned by the CADA Board with
a suspension from participation in CADA or Regional Association Sanctioned events (see
Schedule G of the CADA Rule Book).

We hereby inform you of your opportunity to make written representations with respect to the
Alleged Rule Violation before a final decision is taken by the Board. Any written representations
should be sent by email or fax (as indicated above), marked for the attention of Sandra Brittain
and must be received no later than February 3rd, 2012. Written submissions received after this
date will not be considered.

The CADA Board shall endeavour to notify you of its decision concerning the Alleged Rule
Violation and, in particular, any applicable sanction as soon as reasonably practicable following
the receipt of your written submissions or the expiry of the deadline.

Yours sincerely,
Sandra Brittain
CADA President

Violation of the first amandment

The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution is part of the Bill of Rights.

The amendment prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.

The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (also known as The Charter of Rights and Freedoms or simply the Charter, French: La Charte canadienne des droits et libertés) is a bill of rights entrenched in the Constitution of Canada.

It forms the first part of the Constitution Act, 1982. The Charter guarantees certain political rights to Canadian citizens and civil rights of everyone in Canada from the policies and actions of all areas and levels of government. It is designed to unify Canadians around a set of principles that embody those rights. The Charter was signed into law by Queen Elizabeth II of Canada on April 17, 1982 (along with the rest of the Act).

To all couples in Canada and the United States of America: Freedom to Dance is an existing option.

Shalom
