Swiss highlight from Blackpools WDC meeting Thursday 24th of May 2012.
Swiss Dance Sport Council have been chosen for the Presidents award from this year, for good services to the dance industry.
WDC President Donnie Burns MBE presented this award to Philip Banyer on behalf of SDSC council presidium.
Names mentioned for courage and hard work are Sandra Baumann and Susanna and Stephan Eschmann.

Congratulations to all of you. What an Award!

It is so great that you all have been nominated for this year’s Presidents award. It means that the vote at the WDC meeting was an expression for the contributions you paid for the success of the WDC in Switzerland and beyond and were valuable to the entire dance community and worthy enough.

First and foremost, Thank you all . I would also like to extend my congratulations to all of the other helping hands “behind the scene” - the invisible supporters. But without the Banyers, Baumanns and Eschmanns this would have never been possible “to change the tide around” from an IDSF (WDSF) country into a Freedom To Dance (WDC) area. Either in the field of Hobbydancers or SupaLeague and Sport Dancing alike. You guys have put Switzerland back on the map of the Dance World and have created a Road Map where we have to go.
